We are Out of Office

Palestine needs your endurance!

Photo montage of 18MR staff at a rally. The photo on the left shows a short haired person holding up an Asians for a Liberated Palestine poster. They’re wearing a green sweater with intricate designs on the back. The second photo is a group photo of 5 18MR staff. Most are visibly wearing keffiyeh and holding signs reading: Ceasefire Now and Asians for a Liberated Palestine. The header text reads: Palestine needs your endurance! Subtitle text in a green bubble reads: We will be out of office 12/18/23 and back 1/8/2024. The top header in small text reads “Ceasefire Now” and “Free Palestine” in an alternating repeating pattern.

As we enter the third month of Israeli bombardment and U.S. sponsored genocide of Palestinians, we continue to navigate immense levels of grief, rage, and exhaustion. We’re also uplifted by the diverse mass movement for Palestine growing globally.

While our 18MR offices are closing for the winter break, our team will continue to push back against increased military aid and demand our representatives call for a permanent ceasefire. We know that even as we are exhausted and grieving, Palestine needs our endurance. Our team will rest up, restore, and will be back in 2024 to continue to fight for a liberated Palestine and Asian America.

See you at 01/08/24! We will still be sharing and posting throughout our break on IG.

Call to Action + share

READ: Asians for Ceasefire letter
We currently have presented this letter to Representatives Ro Khanna and Judy Chu! Let’s keep adding our names so that our Asian Congresspeople know that we are not silent about a liberated Palestine!

* Language is out of date but the ask is still the same! We’d love volunteers to translate this letter. Please email us at info@18millionrising.org if you would like to be a volunteer translator.

Read more about our statement here.

For those unable to attend an IRL action, we encourage folks to call, email, and even fax your Representatives, your City Council, and your Mayor! You can do it daily if you wanted to! Please encourage the staff, that they too can stand for a Ceasefire and that they can join us in our actions.
