Queers for Palestine: Power Hour

Nearly two months have passed since Israel escalated attacks on Gaza, killing more than 14,500 and displacing 1.7+ million. 💔 This is genocide. And we know a temporary “pause” is not enough to stop it. 🚫🚫🚫

Join @queercrescent, @lavphoenix, @18millionrising, @rising_majority, @mvmnt4blklives, and @nqapia on Tues., Dec. 5th at 12 PM PST | 3 PM EST to call local and LGBTQ+ electeds to demand a permanent ceasefire, the end of US military aid to Israel, and humanitarian aid!

We’ll be joined by the brilliant adrienne maree brown and Morgan Bassichis, who will help ground us in our roles as queer people in the fight for Palestinian liberation. 💖

We REFUSE the false promises of pinkwashing. We REJECT Pride flags raised by IDF soldiers over shattered Palestinian homes. We AFFIRM Palestinian life, dignity, and self-determination. We STAND WITH trans and queer Palestinians like @queersinpalestine who demand an end to Israeli occupation, an end to US-backed bombings, and the freedom to live safely.
As queer people living in the heart of the US war machine, we have a DUTY to cut off the violence at its source.
