Island Women Rise Art

Happy Halloween and the last day of this year’s Filipino American History Month! 🎃 🇵🇭

A few weeks back, I went to see ISLAND WOMEN RISE with @kariokubo . This was a concert with @rubyibarra @rockyrivera @kimmortaltheartist @faithsantilla and Klassy. You could feel community in the concert. The power of music, spoken word, poetry in our movement is necessary as we fight for a more just world and revolution. @faithsantilla had a beautiful dress on and at one point had the Palestinian flag lit behind her and I knew I GOTTA draw this. So here we are. Art inspires art and I hope their work and this drawing inspires you. ✊
